Musescore 3.0 and Jack not working
Hi, I have just got Musescore 3.0 and Jack 1.9.11 installed and I start the Jack audio server but when I have the settings correct in musescore (Use Jack Audio Server ticked and "Use Jack Audio"/"Use Jack MIDI" ticked) No inputs appear in Jack? Any help?

Yes I can confirm the bug - jack transport isn't working under windows 10 either...
IIRC there's JACK for 32bit and for 64bit? The 32bit one should work with MuseScore 2, which is 32bit, but MuseScore 3 is 64bit (meanwhile 32bit version is also avaliable), so might need a 64bit JACK?

I think I'm already working with the 64bit version of jack. Indeed it does work with musescore 2, but Musescore 3 keeps crashing constantly when trying to change the respective i/o settings...
I struggled with the same problem on Ubuntu 18.04 with Musescore 3.4.2. With the snap installation JACK doesn't work, but with the appImage version of MuseScore JACK works fine. I think the snap is missing 'jack1' interface.

Yes it is and that is (meanwhile) known to the snap maintainer and should be fixed soon

A comment that may be useful. I couldn't use Jack with Musescore 2 and 3. But I found that with Musescore 1.2 it was easy to get it working as you have the option to select the server jack ports with dropdowns to choose from Now I use it with great ease, but with the caveat that I have to import the file at 1,2 with xml. And in that way I have no guarantees that it will keep the dynamics, articulations, etc. Maybe we can take the design of this theme from version 1.2 to optimize version 3
Greetings to all and my apologies for my daring

An image of the respective window of 1,2

Are you on Linux, and are you using the AppImage? That one should work on most systems. Other builds can have incorrect dependencies that cause it to not work. When starting from the command line, does it say which jack library it is accessing?

I am working on window 10 . Both musescore 1.2 and 3 without command lines

Can you explain more detail what goes wrong? EDIT: note that MsueScore 3 is a 64-bit application whereas 1.2 was 32-bit, so do make sure you have the proper version of JACK installed.
