I believe what he's trying to say is that the battery percussion feels far too synthetic, and isn't the kind of sound you'd ever really hear (or wish to hear!) in a professional setting. I think I can agree with him, however. As a percussionist for upwards of 12 years, it kind of hurts in a strange way to hear the sound of the marching drums, especially the basses, in musescore, and it hurts even more that there seems to be no sf2/3/sfz file in sight that has a better alternative.
To break it down, I just really really really wish the community would sample some better percussive sounds geared towards marching drums.
slight edit - I dont have the tools needed to sample drums, or the know how, or I would gladly try my hand at making a better soundfont. Perhaps any tutorials I could find anywhere?
What do you mean could you be more specific? Have you heard the damn battery set Musescore has? drums sound like you're hitting a wood box and bass drum like you are hitting two shoes against one another. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Musescore and all the instruments and stuff it has is great, and almost all theinstrument sound really good. But the drums? the drums are terrible, and it hurts because it is my main instrument hahah

Maybe #196321: Tenor Drum playback not functioning correctly?
If that's not it, could you be more specific about what problem you are having? And are you proposing another soundfont you find to be superior?
