Flip or reverse a selected measure or bar
I am new to MuseScore and still finding out what it is capable of. It would be of great help to be able to select a bar(s) or measure and flip it. Is that possible?
Thanks for your time.

What do you mean by "flip" it? You can change the stem directions of selected notes by pressing "X".

Hi Marc
I'm just in the process of writing a piece that has a lot of arpeggio and scale type runs up and down. If I could have selected all of one run and reversed the whole thing it would have saved a lot of time. Also to be able to select a group of notes and copy would be useful although I can copy a bar and take out parts I don't need.
To be able to select a note and hold down shift to select an end point would be very useful, just like other software.
I'm sorry my post was a little vague.

This is perfectly possible in MuseScore. Have you tried? If it does not work in your copy, either you have a very old version or something else is interfering.

Two ways to select a range of notes for copying - either shift+drag, or click first note then shift-click last. Then copy should work fine.
If by flip / reverse you mean retrograde, you might be interested by this plugin http://musescore.org/en/node/7943#comment-25569

Thank you so much Lasonic. I obviously used the wrong search terms when looking for this. It works like a dream and saves loads of time.

I created a dedicated page for the plugin : http://musescore.org/en/project/retrograde
Thank you so much that is brilliant.

I need to make the page flip over so the music keeps playing on the next page

For playback, be sure the 'Pan score automatically' button is pressed in the playback toolbar. See:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/play-mode#playback-toolbar
To add a page break so the music notation moves to another page, see:
