vierstimmiger Satz - blaue Noten im Bass?

• Mar 26, 2016 - 08:41

Moin.
Didn't find this question in another forum therefore I place it here:
When I open an new sheet (piano), automatically I get blue notes in the treble clef (for the 1. voice). I write the "soprano" in blue. I want to write the "alto", therefore I click on the first blue note, than the "2" on the right and I get the green voice.
But switching to the bass clef to add "tenor" and "bass", the system shows always blue notes or pauses there as well. Well, I can switch to brown and violett (as above with green), but the system adds always blue pauses in the bass clef although I just filled in the blue voice above ("soprano"). The only possibility to hide this pauses disturbing while playing oder singing is to click evry pause in blue and than "v" to hide it.
Isn't there a possibility to avoid from the beginning that the system me marks a second blue voice in the bass clef (having just one blue voice / soprano in the treble clef)? Or is there a possibility to change if I have hidden all the blue pauses yet?

Answers in German would be easier for me... ;-)

Many thanks for your help!

Gero.

A) you'd be better using the closed SATB template rather than piano, that gets the ranges right, amongst other things.
B) in either case don't use voices 3 and 4 in the bottom stave, don't confuse voice (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) with voice (rhythmically independent chords in same staff).

Answers in German would be given in the German forum :-)

Many thanks for your answer!
"Voice" means always sopran, alto, tenor and bass - because I'm singing in the choir. ;-)
For accompagning I used the piano but I like to try your idea with the closed SATB template instead. How is it possible to add this closed SATB template to the four voices soprano, alto, tenor and bass? I would like to create a partitura for the choir and the organist together in the way that every singing voice has its own "stave" (right word?) (therefore the 4 separate "staves") plus two "staves" for the organist with four voices but closed as SATB template.
How is it possible to add to the for separate voices the closed SATB template? I searched and searched and tried - but without succes.

Thanks!

Believe me, you're by far not the only one ;-) and that is why we'd now made a note of this in the handbook.
BTW: I'm singing in choir too.

a "SATB Closed Score" template is part of MuseScore 2.0.2 (and I think earlier Versions too) Just use that, from the new score wizzard. Also "SATB Closed Score + Piano" and "SATB Closed Score + Organ"

But it seems you'd want a normal 4 staff SATB + Piano or Organ, those too are available.

And you can Setup ypur oen template, check https://musescore.org/en/handbook/create-new-score-0#templates

Hi Jojo,

thanks for your answer - even on Eastern!!! First, please excuse my misunderstandeble comment to the voices: I wanted to say that I use "voice" for the choir voices. I'm not the only one in a choir, I suppose too, - ohterwise there would exist only this one "choir" with only my voice ;-).

Returning to my problem:

I used the wizard, I found as well the possibilities vor templates you proposed me above. But or I found the four voices separated from each other and underneath piano or organ (then I have the problem of the blue pauses in the bottom of the organ template) or I found the four voices in closed score (with another score for piano or organ underneath - always with the problem of blue pauses in the bottom of the piano/organ template).
I looked in the handbook at your link (many thanks!) - but it doen't answer my question - or I didn't understand the answer... ;-)
How can I compose the 4 separate (!) voices (SATB^^) with another four-voices-closed-score to avoid having the blue pauses not eliminatebles in the bottom score of the accompaignment (piano or organ)?
Untill now I fill int the four singing voices, I continue filling the four "voices" of the accompaigment organ/piano. The blue pauses being installed automatically in the tenor and bass of organ/piano I have no other solution to hide them after having written the notes. But they disturb...

Thx

Thx!
I hesitated using as the voice of tenor as well the blue notes because I was frightened if there is no confoundation between the two blue lines (soprano and tenor). but I will try... As far as I understood the four colours are important if I write all for voices in one stave?

Thx and furtheron happy Estern!

In an attempt to further clarify: what MuseScore calls a 'voice' is 'one unique melody line on a staff'.

So if each of your choir-voices (SATB) had its own staff, then they are the only melody line on that staff, hence in MuseScore they should all be written in voice 1 (the blue one).

For the piano part, see it the same way. You've got 2 unique melody lines on the top staff (SA) so you'll use two melody lines (voice 1 & 2) on that staff. Similar, for the bottom staff (TB) there are again two unique melody lines (voice 1 & 2) for that specific staff.

The Tenor melody line is the 1st melody line on the bottom staff.
