Tablature - Adding New Features to Master Palette
The following items are required to create usable guitar tablature -
1, A downbow/downstroke identifier. There is an upbow/upstroke identifier, so not having a downbow/downstroke identifier was surprising.
2. Hammer-On identifiers and Pull-Off identifiers use the slur symbol. Identifiers are needed to indicate if the slur symbol is being used for one of the two techniques instead of a slur.
I think that having an identifier for slides would be easier to work with than altering a bend. The items I included are frequently used by guitarists.
BTW, I purchased "Mastering Musescore". I was surprised by how thick it was. I usually have my music books spiral bound, but I won't be able to do it with this book. The book has been useful and will be used often.
Thank You

Can you post a picture of what you are talking about so we can see? In general, almost every symbol used in published music has been included in the Bravura font and is thus available for use by bringing up the Symbols palette (press "Z" to display).
Not sure what you mean by downbox/downstroke identifier. "Bow" to me implies a bowed instrument, and the downbow symbol is definitely there in the Articulations palette, right after the upbow. For guitar, I'm not sure which specific symbol you might be interested in, but the Symbols palette contains many variations. Type "down" into the search box to see a whole bunch of choices.
As for the book, thanks for your comments! Yes, sometimes a spiral bound would make more sense. I believe it would have increased the price, but it's worth considering offering that option.
