Make sure you follow all the steps listed on the SoundFont page. What version of MuseScore are you using?

Hello,
In october 2014, with the latest version installed, I still have the same problem to play separate voices. I can play solo soprano, but this mute/solo trick doesn´t work for any other voices. What can I do?
Thank you for helping.

Voices in the sense of homan voices, like Soprano Alto etc, which MuseScore calles Instruments, or voices in the MuseScore sense of independant chords at the same or overlapping time in the same staff?
Gets even more confusing with a 'closed SATB score' where Soptrano and Alto (as well as Tenor and Bass), share a staff, but are on diverent voices (voice 1, stems up -> Soprano voice 2, stems down -> Alto, alike for Tenor/Bass)
You can solo instruments (and for MuseScore a staff with notes and rests for Soprano is an Instrument) in the mixer, but you can not solo voices, unfortunatly.

If you really really want you can mute a voice by clicking a note in this voice, select -> more -> same staff same voice, and in View -> Inspector uncheck the "play" checkbox.

Many thanks,but I still get nothing... :(
I have configured my Musescore 1.3 into English to better follow you.
I have a 3-staves score (Soprano/Mezzosoprano/Tenor). Using the Mixer (in Display menu) I can set only Soprano solo. I can´t find this View

In the very same mixer you should see Mezzosopran and Tenor too and could solo them

You may need to scroll the mixer or resize it so you can see the other instruments.

Eureka! Thanks people! I swear I had seen and tried the other voices in the Mixer several times before, but now it finally works!
Great job Musescore! Thank you very much.
