Expanding measures and lines

In sections, like measures 4 and 7 in this example, I have decrescendo/crescendo lines in the music. However, the inclusion of these isn't enough to trigger the measure expansion, so the lines are overlapping the notes. The 8va in measure six doesn't expand the measure either, so I am going to guess that it's just that I got in this build soon enough that the feature hasn't been applied to lines yet?
