1. Create 4/4 score.
2. Click on time signature.
3. Delete.
Expected result: Warning should appear (as 1.0 does) that the first time signature of a piece cannot be removed.
Actual result: It's deletable.

Or: just delete the entire first measure
Personally I'm a little loth for this to be fixed :)
I use the "feature" to completely remove the time signature from unmetrical scores.
I appreciate that you can now suppress the display of time signatures completely, but the suppressed time signature still occupies space which makes the score look wrong.
Agreed, but we'd need a clean and documented way of doing this.
Regarding the use of scores without a time signature, see the discussion .
The reason I would want this fixed is that it is too easy to do this accidentally. Creating neterless music is sure ply the exception, so I dont think requiring an extra step is unreasonale. However, It should be possible to suppress time signatures in a way that doesn't take space at all, Is there a new facility in 2.0 that suppresses time signatures but still leaves space for them? If so, then that should simply be fixed. If not, such a facility should be added (part of measure properties, as suggested in the forum, perhaps).

Yes, it is now possible to define a staff style without a time signature from the Edit Staff style dialogue.
Doing this, however, still leaves the space where the time signature would normally go.
If suppressing the time signature in this way respaced the music then there would be no need to use the "feature".
I think at this point this has been defined to be a feature, if not one that has much purpose given that display of time signatures can also be suppressed in staff properties and this now behaves correctly with respect to layout (no extra space allocated). But now that 2.0 is out and there are existing scores with no time signature at all, we should continue to support it.
