Snare Drum Part Extraction is Funny
I wrote a piece for a wind band. This also involved my first time writing music for a snare drum, which was cool. However, when I tried to do part extraction, the snare drum part had five wind instruments with it. Like I said, I have no experience writing for percussion, and I want to know if this is normal, or if there is a way to get the snare drum part by itself.

Not sure what you mean. If I open your score, go to File / Parts, press New All followed by OK, and then view the snare part, there is only that staff. Are you doing something different from this? Or is this *already* the part? How did you create it? Can you post the actual score you started with and precisesteps to reproduce the problem?

Okay. The original score is attached. I tried performing the part extraction, and for the snare part, it gave me the snare part along with the top 5 instruments in the score order: flute, oboe, Bb clarinet, alto sax, and tenor sax.

Looks like you actually created parts two different times - I see two of each instrument. The snare drum at the *end* of list looks fine. The one in the middle of the lsit is named strangely and has the extra staves. No idea what happened there, but if I were you I'd delete all the parts then regenerate them. I jist tried that and it worked fine.

Thanks! That helped a ton. :)
