Separate Timings
If you have a treble voice staff and then a treble and bass piano staff, how do you set the timing for the voice to be different than the timing for the piano?

What do you mean by timing? Tempo? Time signature? Or just the rhythm of the notes themselves?

So I have the actual sheet music, but I'm transferring it into MuseScore. I'm in 4/4 timing, and in one of the voice measures it has a half note, eighth rest, eighth note, and then three eighth notes joined with a 3 above them, which is 9/8 not 4/4, but the other voice measure and piano measure for the same section are in 4/4 timing. Does the little 3 above the three eighth notes mean anything??
