newest master
What is the newest master? when I git pull origin master,
I get a commit from April 15th.
96d97653981fe3aa2fd4b44841378d31910e8f63
Is this correct?
One reason I ask is because when I try to compile this I get compilation errors.

You can always check the latest master here: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/commits/master.
I guess that your "origin" isn't pointing to that repository. (Try
git remote -v
to see the urls of your remote branches)In reply to You can always check the by Fyrult
ahhh, I was using "git pull origin master", I should use "git pull upstream master"
> git pull upstream master
This gives me master = d1605866c83e374bd6a6cb2937d0810546cbcf5e
from may 20th.
Now, I can try to compile again.
Thanks for the help.

So even with the newest I get the same compilation error.
Looks like maybe the wrong QT is being used? Could this be?

In reply to So even with the newest I get by jim.newton.562
Yes, that's probably the problem. qInfo was introduced in Qt5.5 (https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtglobal.html#qInfo), and it seems that you are using Qt5.4.
In reply to So even with the newest I get by jim.newton.562
Compiling the current master requires you to have Qt 5.6 as far as I know.

When I look at the QT download page, it asks me lots of questions I don't know, like whether I want to make my application GPL. It's not my application.
Here the one I'm using. https://www.qt.io/download-open-source/
In reply to When I look at the QT by jim.newton.562
MuseScore is Open Source, so this is fine
In reply to MuseScore is Open Source, so by Jojo-Schmitz
It is open source, but I didn't realize it was GPL. :-(
