Midi keyboard silent on 'Replace pitch' input
MS 2.0.1, Win7, and a Korg Nano Key 2 keyboard.
When using the 'Replace pitches without changing rhythms' function (very useful to save time inputting long sections of dotted rhythm which can be copy/pasted) , the program generates sounds as I input pitches if I use the computer's keyboard...but not if I use the midi-keyboard. The pitches entered on the midi keyboard DO show up in the score, but the entry is silent, which is less than wonderful.
Is there a parameter somewhere I need to adjust, or is this a bug?
Thanks.

It's a bug - see #52841: No sound feedback in repitch mode when using MIDI or Piano Keyboard.

Okay, thanks. I see it's been fixed, but not for 2.0.2 or .3. Will that fix be included in a future 2.0.x, or will I have to wait for 3.0 for this one?

No, it hasn't been fixed. The original bug affected *all* methods of note input. What was fixed - over a year ago apparently - was note input by mouse and computer keyboard, but apparently MIDI and the Piano Keyboard were missed. Assuming that gets fixed eventually, it seems likely it would merit inclusion in a 2.0.4 should one happen.

That fix must have been included in 2.0.1, because I've got it. But I never noticed the problem until recently because--as you remarked in the other thread--the repitch tool isn't that widely known and I hadn't used it. But it can save a LOT of work doing input of lengthy sections of dotted rhythms--input the first eight measures, say, then copy and paste them to the next eight and just change the pitches as required.
