Tremolo Bar not functioning
I downloaded MuseScore 2.0.3 a few days ago.
The right click menu for tremolo bar is always grayed out whether a note is selected or not.
When I double-click it, their notation always appears above the top staff.
They aren’t having any noticeable effect but I cannot select or delete them either.
Please advise.
Thank you

In order to help, we would need you to post the score you are having trouble with and precise step by step instructions to reproduce the problem.
In general, you need to first add the tremolo bar symbol to a no e - and it's correct that it appears above the note. Then you can right click the tremolo bar symbol itself - not the note - to activate Tremolo Bar Properties.
Tremolo bar notation currently does not affect playback

Thanks for the rapid response.
You can see the note is selected but right click options are gray.
Double clicking places the ‘v’ above the top staff... not just the note.
Now it can’t be edited or deleted.

As I said, you have to first add the marking to a note in your score, then right click the marking you just added - not the icon in the palette.

I selected the note and doubled clicked Tremolo bar.
The marking appears 3 staffs up and cannot be accessed or deleted; right click or left click.
I only get what shows when one right clicks the background. Right clicking on the note
Did it work for you? Could you delete it? Why isn’t over the note? How is anyone to know later what staff it’s supposed to be part of?

Hmm, it *should* appear directly over the note that was selected when you double click the palette icon. But indeed, it seems there is a bug where if there is more than one staff, it can appear above the wrong one. Could you report this officially to the issue tracker using "Help / Report a Bug", attaching your sample score and precise steps to reproduce the problem?
Deleting works fine, however. Just click it and press Delete, same as any other element.

Thanks. I will let them know... but I can’t delete the marks.
I appreciate your help. Have a great holiday weekend.

As with the properties, you have to click the tremolo mark *in your score*, not the one in the palette. Then press Delete. It's possible you have a computer that doesn't have a true Delete key, and instead has only a backspace key (even though it might be labelled Delete). If so, you might need to press some other key - Fn or something like that - to make it work like a true Delete key.
But for me, it works to click the tremolo bar mark in the score and then press Delete. When you click it, does it turn blue? Does the status bar say "Tremolo Bar"? Does anything happen at all when you press Delete?

I have submitted an issue - #113201: Tremolo bar appears above wrong staff. Looks like both problems were related, fix should be simple.

@LVogt...
I'm on Windows 10, MuseScore 2.0.3.
When I open your 'Tremolo_Bar_Test.mscz' file, I see that the score is shown in Continuous View. I can only select the tremolo bar marking when I switch to Page View. Only then am I able to drag or delete it.
Same behavior for you?
Regards.

Ah, that explains it. I had switched to page view after laoding the file. Indeed, the tremolo bar isn't selectable in continuous.
