Know which MIDI notes you plan to assign these sounds to? That way I can add them to my improvements to instruments.xml without having to change the assignment later.
I am taking a much needed break this week, but will be back in action in the New Year, when, unless the phone rings, there will be a little space for things MuseScore.
FluidR3Mono_GM Version 2.313 which remaps Marching Bass Samples to fit on a 61 note keyboard and includes Simultaneous Hit is now up at Google Drive........
The new key mappings are in the attached DRM file.

Have you had a chance to make this patch? I'd like to know one way or the other so I can get PR #2711 dealt with.
Not done yet - too much going on in RL!

Do you know which MIDI pitches you'd like to assign the new sounds to? That's all I need so I can get my PR finished.

Wouldn't it make sense to keep this issue in "Patch (Ready to commit)" until this change has found iss way into 2.1 (and probably 3.0 too)?
Same for #149771: Update SF3 version of FLuidR3Mono soundfont?
Automatically closed -- issue fixed for 2 weeks with no activity.
See also #165281: Update FLuidR3Mono to the latest version before releasing 2.1
And see also https://musescore.org/en/node/41521#comment-630161. An update to instruments.xml, and some code to convert the old instruments on import, will be needed.
I don't think this would be possible in a backward compatible way, so 2.0.0+ can still read the 'converted' scores

This didn't find ist way into 2.1, but should get into 3.0
Where's the PR?
Well, there is no better status. The upfated SoundFont and the drm file is on ChurchOrganist's Google Drive
The SoundFont would need to be converted to SF3, and the DRMs integrated into instruments.xml.
So work to be done
