Sharps in chord names on a Mac

As a new user of MuseScore I encountered the problem that has been discussed before about the inability to enter the sharp sign in chord names on a Mac. With the British keyboard layout that I normally use the # sign is obtained by pressing Alt-3. This does not work in MuseScore. I found however that by changing the keyboard layout to U.S. Extended the key combination Shift-3 now correctly inserts the sharp sign. This fix will presumable work for all non-US keyboard users.
