HELP!

I have been working diligently on this score, and musescore crashed. I did not receive a recover the file pop-up or anything and had to dig for the file. I found it, but it was a ".mscz~" file; I'm not sure why "~" was in it. So I converted it to ".mscz" and it is corrupt and unopenable. Help me please! I lost all of my work.
