Playback and slurs
When I copy music to Musescore and encounter a slur I use the lines palette and double click 'slur'. Everything looks fine until play back which appears to ignore the slur and plays each note. When the slur covers two notes, simply extending the sound - it still plays two notes. Can I put it right, please.

So, it is not called as a slur, but a tie.
See how to: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tie, vs. slur: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/slur

As cadiz1 said, ties already do play correctly. Slurs will play correctly in MuseScore 3: https://musescore.org/en/user/527826/blog/2016/06/18/more-legato

Thank you so much. I was treating ties and slurs as the same thing. I am so impressed at the speed of response to my questions, thanks again
