Possible to extract one instrument from sf?
I want to just use the alto flute (and maybe some other woodwinds/voice/perc) of SSO without having to use the whole soundfont (my laptop can't take that). Is it possible?

Sure—that's exactly what makes SFZs like SSO so flexible. Just copy the folder full of flute samples and the corresponding .SFZ file.
