Opening MuseScore in Multiple Screens with Multiple Sessions
I have a 2 screen setup and would like MuseScore to be open in both (with separate scores) for orchestrating a quintet, making it easier to copy paste and review what I have done. Any suggestions? Can't seem to be able to open MuseScore more than once with Windows 7

It's not possible to run MuseScore twice but you can split the MuseScore screen in Display -> Document side by side.

Can you undock one of the documents somehow to drag it to your other screen?

You can run a portable version at the same time as a release version if you need MuseScore running twice for some reason rather than using the display documents stacked/split.
You could run a virtual machine on one screen with a separate, isolated instance of MuseScore (say an AppImage for ease of installation) running in it but I'll leave it up to you to research that one since setting up virtual machines isn't trivial.

Virtual machines will probably remove the ability to cut and paste between documents since MuseScore doesn't use the system clipboard.

Mouse without Borders would work, but at this point we're using multiple programs to make up for the functionality that already exists in MS4.

No need for virtual machines: You can run the installed and the portable version at the same time, just need to start them in the right order (portable first).
And a development build (of 2.2) in addition.

Sheesh, no, I didn't try, I just assumed :-). You're right. No idea how, but I guess Qt manages the clipboard globally even though we aren't explicitly converting the info into any portable format.

You can't copy/paste in anywhere else though, e.g. not into here
For MuseScore 3, use menu item: View -> 'Documents Side by Side'.

The MuseScore window can be re-sized across 2 displays with each score displayed on a different monitor.

so once you put them side by side how do you get them in separate monitors?

The MuseScore window can be resized by dragging an edge of the window across both monitors.
The side by side scores have a separator which can be dragged to the midpoint of the dual monitors. This will display one score per monitor. (The cursor changes to a double headed arrow when the separator is hovered.)

Works in theory when monitors are the same size and resolution. When they aren't, the window draws off screen of the smaller one making it harder to see some things. Allowing multiple instances would be more convenient.
They have FINALLY delivered this feature in MuseScore 4!!
