Letter plugin not working | Ubuntu 16.04
The plugin is not loading.
Seems like it is missing a critical file?
I also want to install and run the chord plugin.
Have I missed something?

That Git commit is nonsensical, but a know problem in Ubuntu. I guess you are using MuseScore 2.0.2.
What plugins exactly are you talking about ?

It is version 2.0.2.
I took the git number from the "About Musescore" page. There is an icon that clips the revision number, that's what I cited. I thought it would be helpful. Guess it should not appear and needs not be included in troubleshooting discussions / reports?

I again tried to call the note names and color notes under Ubuntu 16.04, while connected to the web.
Both bring up a "loading" progress pop-up but it never progresses.
I have not yet tried to install these because of the hangup with the default plugins

On some Linux versions the Git commit number is known to be.plain wrong, an error the packager made. For official versions is isn't needed something like 2.0.2 is enough there.
None of the plugins should bring up a 'loading' box, are you sure you installed it as per https://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins and call it from MuseScore's plugins menu?
