Can my composition piece work with Sibelius?

• Sep 27, 2016 - 02:19

Hi. I have heard of a really cool program called "Sibelius." I'm NOT talking about the composer that wrote "Andante Festivo." And I haven't download the program yet.

I have a question about exporting my composition pieces to Sibelius. How can I do that? Can sibelius load .mscz or .xml files?

For Example, I wanted Sibelius, "The Program" to use my Irish Suite Composition. But how can I export this MuseScore composition file and import it in Sibelius? Can Sibelius import .mscz or .xml files?

Please comment below if you have any answers.

PS: You can look at the attachments which are the .mscz and the .xml files. And if you all have "Sibelius," you can convert these files into any audio format of my composition.

Thanks.

MuseScore can export to MusicXML, and SIbelius can import a MusicXML file. The demo version of Sibelius should allow you to view it and play it back, but you won't be able to save it after editing it. The full version is quite expensive.

Sibelius and Finale are thw two main commercial notation programs. FWIW, if you are interested in playback specifically, Finale probably has the best reputation, but Sibelius isn't bad either. Either one will produce results similar to MuseScore by default, but can be configured to use the Garritan library or other sounds that take it up to the next level.
