Multiple staff types one instrument
Hello everybody,
Is it possible to change the staff type in multiple points of one instrument? In new music this is quite common practice, something like this: //www.pierluigibillone.com/pdf/mani_giacometti_example.pdf
I'm new to musescore and up to now i've been loving it,
thanks in advance for your help!
Jorge.

Hello, thank you very much for the response,
could there possibly be a work around?

For something like giacometti piece you linked, probably pen and paper :) or a drawing application.
For something simpler, you could add several instrument and make sure that the number of lines etc;.. change at the end of a system and then hide the empty staves.

Haha yes that was an extreme example, and probably better off by hand. However, being able to do something like:
with a change instrument or via Staff properties would be wonderful.

With some tricks (and a bit time), I can approach this sort of notation (but not yet finished... some details to refine, because experimental for me too!!)

Wow that looks great! very good news :)
Could you please point me in the direction I should head to accomplish this?
Thank you for the reply!

Well, first you have to create a score as usual with the necessary instruments. Then I fear the explanation could be rather long by providing all details to reach this result.
Above all, I do not know if you are an "experienced", "average", or "beginner" user with MuseScore?
But just know, at first, that MuseScore is sufficiently powerful and adaptable to create this kind of scores.

Yeah it's great to know that this is possible!
I've been using Musescore only for about a week, before I've been using Sibelius for around ten years or a bit more, editing a lot of pieces with extended techniques and special notation which required tweaks and tricks hehehe. I feel like I'm getting the hang of things in Musescore quite fast, enjoying it very much :)
