How serviceable is 'restore session'?
I know obviously it's great if something happens and you can recover a score, but in terms of what it restores, is it meant to be 100%?
I see varying results - sometimes the notes jump somewhere else, or no score appears.
Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (4801) - Mac 10.6.8.
Comments
Regarding the notes jumping elsewhere, that maybe a by-product of a bug in that nightly build - I saved a file in it and re-opened it to find it had done the same thing.
Restore session saves a backup every 2 minutes (the time period is adjustable in the Preferences dialogue, under General, Auto Save). Restore session should recover 100% of the previous auto save. In other words it might loose the last two minutes of your work, but everything older than 2 minutes should be guaranteed.
If you see any departure from this and you have steps to reproduce, I suggest filing a bug report marked critical priority.
It works as you say - thanks.
If I encounter problems, I will report.
