Problems in Logic Pro X with Musescore exports of midi files

When I export midi from Musescore and import in Logic, there are a lot of problems for me.
For people who export Musescore files to Logic, what I'm looking for is:
1) Confirmation that this is a problem (concerning importing from Musescore Midi files).
[Note: with imported files in Logic, I open up all the tracks in the List Editors -> Event, and unselect notes and then delete all data. Something residual is often buried in automation though.]
2) Is there a way to sanitize an export file completely?
3) Have other people experienced this problem?
When I turn on Flex in Logic, my regions shrink significanly. This is happening to me continuously now with every project I import from Musescore even after expurgating all extra data.
