changing key signature problem
Hi all
I think i found a bug.
On the piano template with no key signature, I entered the notes Eb, Db, Eb, Eb, Db, E NATURAL, using mouse and +/- keys.
Then, I dragged the key signature for 4 flats to the beginning of the score. The 3rd note still has a flat sign in front of it.
See enclosed example.
(PS. thanks for such a great program! nice job!)

It works as it should on XP Home SP3.
And on Ubuntu 11.04
MuseScore 1.1

I can confirm that... (works with MuseScore 1.1 on XPpro SP3)
Would be rather strange if it really behaved different on a Mac?!?
I created the attached score, then added A♭ Major to the treble clef. The third note has no accidental.
Using MuseScore 1.1 and 2.0 Nightly Build (4865) - Mac 10.6.8 and 10.7.2.

Guess it's a Mac only problem then :)

I couldn't find any problem :).

Ah! Must have misunderstood your post :)
Oddly enough, when i downloaded the example that chen lung sent, i dragged the key signature over, it worked fine.
BUT, when i started from a blank template, same problem. (see both attachments.)
I first entered notes in example #1. (tried it different ways: using the mouse-click method, and by typing the letter on the computer keyboard. Also tried using the "-" key to add the flats, as well as clicking on the symbol in the menu. Same results each time.)
Then, I copied file and dragged the key signature over: still doesn't work properly. The flat signs are still appearing on the 3rd and 4th notes. (See example #2.)
Are you entering the notes using a piano keyboard?--- because I'm just using the mouse and computer keyboard.
Any other ideas?

For the reocrd, flats created using palette are *supposed* to work as described in some of the examples here. That is, a flat added from the palette shows up whether or not it is needed because of the key signature or an accidental earlier in the measure. Only accidentals created with + and - are supposed to adjust automatically according to regular notation rules. At least, that's my understanding and experience.
