Crescendo/diminuendo plugin: should allow rests in the selection

and in a way could be considered a bug. I think it would be a good idea to make it able to work through rests without me having to temporarily change what's in between to notes. Is there any way to allow rests to be inside it without causing problems, and if there is a rest at the end, treat the rest as if the velocity is 0?
If this is really a bug with my computer, here is my system info:

What is "inside it"?
Took me a moment, too. The issue was filed specifically against the crescendo. plugin, so I'm guessing it refers to what happens if you run the plugin on a passage that contains a rest.
