Adjusting Beams
I find that that there is no way to adjust the length of a beam. When I nudge the first sixteenth note in a beat and its stem to the left, it causes an unsightly gap to open up between the beam and the note, and I cannot seem to get rid of this gap. It is very easy to adjust the height and angle of a beam, but I would like to adjust its horizontal length.

The problem occurs in measure 11 of this piece: Etude.mscz I need the sixteenths to be far enough apart that the text "port." is displayed, but this makes the beams look weird, as you can see.

Two observations:
Updated, if possible, to 2.0.3;
Just enter one note, double-click to move to the left; Add gliss;
Finally add the second note

Don't think of this as changing the length of the beam. The beam is automatically made as long as necessary to connect the notes. What you really want is simply to move the notes farther apart. And as mentioned, you need to use the "chord" section of the Inspector to move the notehead & stem together; this will also cause the beam length to adjust as expected. or, perhaps better yet, add more leading space to the second note - this will avoid creating crowding elsewhere, whereas moving notes will make the layout a bit wonky.
In Inspector, ensure that you move the "Chord" and not the "Element". The former moves the note(s) and stem(s) and beam whilst the latter just moves the part that you have clicked on (notehead, stem or whatever).

It worked! Thanks!
