Skipping measures during playback

I've noticed not only can you press the right arrow key while playing a tune and have a "fast-forward" effect, but you can also press ctrl+right-arrow and have a skipping per-measure while playing. This can be useful while "beta-testing" your score, and I'm thankful for the feature. I have one question though, and I'm not attaching a particular score as an example for now, but has anyone else noticed that sometimes while doing the ctrl+right-arrow that it ceases to work? When this happens the right-arrow still works, but not the per-measure ctrl+right-arrow skipping. I don't know for sure what happens for it to occur, and I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and knows more about it than I? If anything, I'll post any information if I realize a certain pattern when it happens.
