Percussion clef in unpitched percussion parts
Percussion clefs cannot be added to an unpitched percussion part (yet it is acceptable and a known convention for scores with space constraints. I'm surprised Musescore has not yet supported this).
I realise that you can add a percussion symbol manually by setting the treble clef invisible (and key signature if present) and add a percussion glyph where it would be. A problem with this is that you would have to manually go through each page and repeat the steps above; and, when a page repositions, the glyph is dislocated and therefore destroys the overall sense of the score. This is wasting hours and hours of time...
'...a feature that allowed you to define the semantics of the clef separately from the appearance could be nice. So you could tell MuseScore, "treat this as a treble clef for all internal purposes, but display it as a percussion clef"...'

It has been 2 years. When will the suggested feature of a 'substitute clef' be presented? I worry less about playback - notation is much more important.

My error, sorry. I didn't like the idea of 'necromancing' old threads.

Not a wrong approach in general and for old threads in the forum, but #31646: Percussion clef cannot be assigned to a standard staff is an issue, and one that is still open, so a different thing.
