selecting a bar to move the notes in it with the mouse

When you select a bar it highlights the barline on it's right so when you move the notes in the bar up or down using the mouse so does that barline so to move all the notes in a bar without moving the barline using the mouse you have to manually highligh them all holding down control (I'm on a PC by the way).

I know that you can do it by clicking the bar and using the up and down arrows, something I do use but when you use the mouse they move by the notes in the scale you are using so it at times it is better.
