Beams and slur symbols missing/how to write shuffle time
Hi, as in the attached image, I can't view any symbol in the "Beams and slurs" Musical symbols section, when I try to add a special character in any text.
I noticed this same issues also for other sections, as "Combining staff positions".
Actually I'm try to write, in the initial tempo text, the right form for shuffle time: 2 eight notes beamed equal to a quarter plus an eight in triplet. I can't find the best way to write, at the same height, two groups just described, cause if I use symbols in the "individual notes" section they are bigger than the ones in the "beamed groups of notes" in which I can beam two eights. (Other attached file).
Can someone help me?
Thank you! :)
James

take the Image from this thread: https://musescore.org/en/node/86131
update if possible to the latest version (2.0.3.1), In doubt that something's wrong to use: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings#instructions-…
see https://musescore.org/en/node/86131#comment-380566 or https://musescore.org/en/node/115776#comment-521551 and take the svg file from there.
Edit: I'm too slow ;-)
I don't think there is anything wrong or anything that a factory reset would cure though
And 2.0.3.1 is for macOS only, for Windows and Linux 2.0.3 still is the latest. (but yes that seems to be what the OP is using)
Thank you guys, I solved with your suggestion. It's a pity that is not possible to write directly this group of symbols. Furthermore I don't understand why I can't view symbols in the specific section of the special characters: I think it contains right useful symbols to realise this tempo indications.
Can you view the symbols in "Beams and slurs" section? And why I can't?
Thank you! :)
James

@ JamesRudess, I'm sorry, I goofed. I cannot view Beam and slurs symbols (Windows) and find none of useful in the Master Palette. The image seems the best solution.
