Copy-Paste

I can't believe it hasn't already been suggested, but could you PLEASE put Copy and Paste buttons in the toolbar, right next to the Undue and Redo. With the frequency that these 2 operations are used, it would save lots of time over having to drop the mouse and go to the keyboard, or having to pull down the Edit menu. Thanks.

Hmmm... what about 'Cut' operation?

Instead of dropping the mouse, have you considered right clicking (on the selection) for cut/copy/paste operations?

Regards.

Yes, that is a nice mouse-accessible way to get at those commands immediately after a selection that is also made by mouse. Personally, I prefer using the keyboard for as much as possible, so I make my selections by keyboard (using the standard shortcuts - shift+arrow keys, etc) most of the time, and then the keyboard shortcuts for cut/copy/paste are much easier than needing to use the mouse.

That said, I agree it seems these operations should be available on the toolbar to make things easier for people who prefer using the mouse, especially Mac users who lack a right mouse button and may not be accustomed to this method of accessing common functions.

I'm a Mac user, so right-clicking is not as intuitive for me (although I use it occasionally, but some dexterity issues make it awkward). And some Mac mice don't have right buttons. I didn't even know those functions were available by right clicking! Of course, you could also include a Cut button along with the others, but I suspect that function is used less frequently than the other 2.

Yes, I use those too, but it means having to drop the mouse after selecting the Copy passage, go to the keyboard, go back to the mouse to select the Paste location, go back to the keyboard, etc. etc. Having buttons in the toolbar would seem to make the operation much smoother and more efficient. But I appreciate your comment — thanks.
