Posting your actual score would be a big help, but barring that...
here's an example, spelled out:
1. Open MuseScore to 'My First Score':
2. Use menu item: Style -> General -> Page and reduce 'Max. system distance':

But note - normally you won't need to do that. When you first start a score, it contains no notes and things will be spaced as might be appropriate for an empty score, but as you add notes things space themselves automatically. Chances are any adjustments you make while looking at an empty score will turn out to be wrong when the score is finished.
As mentioned, best to attach your actual score once it is completed in terms of entering notes, and then we can help you see if there are adjustments that need to be made to the formatting.
