I am a Scottish/Highland Drummer (Snare Drum). I can set everything up for snare drum only (i.e. single line staff) but when I place the notes they are placed over (on) the line. In our style of score writing we place the Right-Hand Above the line and the Left-Hand Below the line. Is it currently possible to set up the staff accordingly?

Find a template here : http://musescore.com/nicolas/scores/38591
You click Download on the right side to get the MuseScore file.
Hi,
I just found Musescore and am trying to figure out the same thing. If you click the measure, so a blue box is around it, you can right click and "edit drumset". Then I named the empty slot below "Acoustic Snare", Acoustic Snare.
Note Head Value: normal
Staff Line: 6 for one, and 2 for the other.
Then you can click the appropriate hand in the "drums" drop down.
Make sure to save then reopen to see the new notes.
Now I have to figure:
How to keep the Beams "flat" without having to double click each one.
If I want to hear it, how to make them the same sound.
Not sure about Flams, Rolls, Drags, Ruffs, dead notes, or Flourishing symbols for tenor.
I plan on creating a template that I can copy/paste from.
Does any one have a template, or scottish snare/tenor music they can share?

For flams, ruffs, etc. I usually use grace notes. For rolls I use tremolo.
Thanks,
Tremolo works perfect for rolls.
