Chord Spellings for Guitar Fret Diagrams
I may be able to help with this if you can give me an idea of what is required.
I have been teaching and playing guitar since 1975 and have a pretty good knowledge of chords.

Michael

I too would be willing to lend a hand. I am a guitarist/writer/arranger with a degree from Berklee College of Music ('92) and have a lot of experience assisting keyboard playing music directors properly notate guitar parts. In fact, I'd be happy to help out with guitar notation in general.
As an aside, I absolutely love what's happening with MuseScore. I have used almost all the notation software packages at one time, and being a professional writer/arranger I still have Finale, Sibelius, Encore & MuseScore all installed on my system. MuseScore is really coming into a place where it is beginning to compete with these. I even suggest MuseScore to my music students as a way to get into computer based notation. Thanks for all the hard work.

I am willing to help also.
I understand how difficult it will be to implement an exhaustive set of fretboard voicing diagrams, or to provide a tool to customize these down to the individual string/fret, so can I please suggest that the option be given to insert a blank chord diagram on which the student/teacher could note the specific voicing desired?

No need.
The fret diagrams are already wholly customisable

Where? In the nightly builds?
Is there some documentation available on how to use this feature?
Thanks!

Yes - in the nightly builds.
And no - no documentation yet.
