Locked out - newly downloaded on Windows XP sp3

I have just downloaded Version 1.1 onto my PC, which has Windows XP Home Edition with SP3.
I am unable to do anything with it -
It comes up with the demo score, but I can not edit it or even zoom in or scroll.
When I create a new score, it comes up with the blank manuscript, with the new heading, staves, keys etc. I have selected, but that is far as I can go.
I have already used this version on a PC (Windows 7) with positive results (very impressed!), but using the new download on XP I am getting no-where. I have opened a score I have written on the windows 7 PC, but again, that is all I can do.
Do you know where I am going wrong?

A wave of inspiration -
It occured to me to try and log in with full administrator rights and that has got me up and running.
Doesn't work using the limited user rights.
Too quick to get onto the support line!
