4/4 meaure not accepting notatiion
I am working on a SATB score in 4/4 time. All of a sudden in measure 38, I have come to a point where only two quarter notes are accepted in the Soprano part. I cannot insert additional notes or rests of any kind to this bar. However, in the Alto, Tenor, Bass or Piano parts in the same bar 38, I do have the full 4 beat option in the same measure. What is the cause of this problem and how can I fix it?
