MScore-20 - Emmentaler Font for MuseScore...
I'm writing (again) because no one added the font with my changes - MScore-20.otf to nightly builds.
The screenshots below show the example changes.
...and more, more and MORE :D - I checked all the glyphs.
I finished improve this font and I will not introduce changes.
I attach SFD FontForge file and OTF font in zip archive.
Greetings,
Gootector

Werner commited the font in r5514. Changing the font is a little bit tricky. The metrics of the fonts are used for spacing the music. In particular if noteheads changed, some tables have to be changed somewhere else in the score. If anyone encounter fonts problem after r5514, let us know.

Ok, thank You so much. I'll check whether the font is displayed correctly. I think that David Bolton will compile a new nightly build soon. The newest nightly build for Windows is 5498, so I'm waiting for 5514.

I checked the font in revision 5516 and I found a few bugs - terrible dots, etc. I fixed all problems - I created new dots in bass clefs, segno, etc. I think that problem is in points - half point aren't acceptable by MuseScore in OTF font (?) - for instance 45.5, etc., only points based on whole values are display correctly. TTF and OTF use various outlines. TrueType outlines use quadratic Bézier splines, OpenType - cubic Bézier splines. Previous versions of MuseScore based on TTF outlines. I think that I fixed the problem. Please update the font. I attach font with fixed problems.

I've been working on a new font for two weeks. Below I present sample screenshots from FontForge. Maybe this font will be for MuseScore - I don't know (this font was to be for NoteWorthy Composer). I plan to adapt Gonville font to MuseScore - create missing symbols, etc. If it's a good idea - I start working on these projects for MuseScore. All symbols in screenschots made by me from scratch (all rights reserved at the moment).

As you may know Gonville is already in MuseScore nightlies. You can switch the font in Style -> Edit General Style -> Score -> Musical symbol font. That being said, several symbols are missing so indeed that would be awesome to have a more complete font with the same symbol than MScore20 ! I look forward to trying it!
(Not related but if you are a NWC user and want to migrate your scores to MuseScore, you can try http://nwc2musicxml.appspot.com)

Sorry, I was busy, so I couldn't to write to You.
I've been working on Gonville font for two days. I think that I will have finished this font by the end of the month.
I checked how the font (Emmentaler) is displayed in MuseScore - problems with dots are still... unfortunately :( I got the idea to create a dot from four points (dot.png). I wonder because in LibreOffice this font is displayed correctly (symbols.png) and in other programs.
I'll write a post when I finish these fonts.
Don't worry - I will fix these problems with fonts.

Can you tell us which OS you are running? and which version of Qt (in MuseScore, Help -> About Qt).
In reply to Can you tell us which OS you by [DELETED] 5
I use two OS from Microsoft :) - Windows XP with SP3 and Windows 8 Consumer Preview. And Qt? Of course from nightly builds - 4.8.0. In my opinion is only one way to fix this problem:
Steps:
1. Open mscore-20.sfd and export as OTF.
2. Open this generated OTF file and save as SFD - replace old file.
3. Import glyphs from original Emmentaler font - copy and paste to new SFD file.
4. Export new OTF file.
OS don't have anything in common with this problem. Maybe Qt? - I don't know.

And something else - this problem with the display of dots was before my changes.

How I can send files to SVN repository? Where I have to register to be able to send files?
In reply to And my second question. by Gootector
Hi, you can't commit files to SVN. Only Werner and a few more have access to avoid conflict. Your font will be commited soon.

Ok, I thought :) that when I sign the MuseScore CLA I can send files to repository... Now I know that I can't send :)
