use individual 8th notes

The way I use MuseScore is to write music specifically to be played on Harmonicas, in my own Harmonica Club.
As You may be aware, Harmonicas are the Only wind-instrument that can be played Both by breathing In as well as Out, so I use the facility in MuseScore of Swapping the Staff Up or Down, simply to Show whether to Blow or Draw a note; The Staff pointing Up is Blow, the staff pointing Down is a Draw-Note. This is an Excellent and Very Welcome extra feature in MuseScore, and I use it to my advantage in my own way, Specifically for My music.
But... this feature simply doesn't work for 8th or 16th notes, and also Not in Triplets and things like that...
There Must be some sort of "command" written in the software that Automatically connects the shorter / faster notes Automatically. How about the option of Switching this "Auto-Connect" feature Off Please????

The Only down-side of Most notation software programs that I can think of is that they "Think for themselves" too much. That's of course to make it easier to use for Most users, but as You now know, for some specific users, this can be crippling.
