MuseScore blocks other audio sources under Ubuntu Linux
Hello everybody,
the problem has been persistent for several MuseScore and Ubuntu releases (currently 1.2 from the ppa and Ubuntu 12.04): When I start MuseScore and afterwards try to play music from some other source (e. g. YouTube or my music player), playback won't start. I can avoid this if I start playing music e. g. with my player and start MuseScore while the music is playing. This way, playback in MuseScore and also in other applications works fine.
It's just a bit annoying that I have to close and re-start MuseScore every time I forget to follow the described procedure... Did anybody else encounter this problem before? Maybe it's a problem of the interaction between MuseScore and the PulseAudio framework...

Uncheck the first ALSA and play with the option in portaudio. You need to restart MuseScore for the setting to be applied.

This alone did not do the trick, but also changing the device to "default" did :) Thanks!
