Beam too long for run of small notes
I moved a small note in a run so it wouldn't collide with the adjacent note or chord. But the beam doesn't adjust to the new note position. The beams properties do not appear to have a property to adjust the length of the beam. What am I missing?
Thanks!

double click the beam and you can shorten it.

(I'm on MacBook Pro OS X 10.11.6) I have double-clicked. The box on the right end turns blue. I try to drag. Nope. Click on the left box. Try to drag. Nope. Look at all the properties of the element - tried changing each of them in either direction. I just won't resize. Any other ideas?

upload either the entire score or at least the measure in question in its own file, not a picture.

You need to reset the beam and stem offsets (with that back double arrow thingy to the right of the non zero numbers) then use move the entire chord, the beam will follow with it. I did this in measure 10, you can do it in 18.

in Inspector:
1. Remove horizontal offset values for notehead and stem on Element section.
2. Select notehead, set to horizontal offset in Chord section: 1, 1.5, 2, ...
Problem solved...
