How do I notate ties through repeats?
So, I'm arranging a piano piece for string quartet. For one piece There is a tie, that happens to show through a Repeat. Sort of like this:

tie them from a note before the repeat, then edit the tie to look as you want it, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/slur#adjustments and check the attached

Wait, but then it goes on for too long. See my example. The trumpet plays for too long the 2nd time. Can you make a note that looks like a note but it doesn't play? That might help the problem.

What is an acciaccatura/appoggiatura and how do you add one and make it invisible? Edit: Got it, but it still plays for too long.

It's possible, but without seeing the score I couldn't tell you what you need to do.

Another way is to tie a silent, invisible grace note. It handles being reformatted better.
