Export XF Midi Chords (Yamaha)

Dear forum members,

My name is Marco and I play on a Yamaha Tyros 2 keyboard.
I use a lot of Chords in midi XF format.

I understand that you can import XF midi files with Chords in MuseScore.(Yes, it's working)
But if you adjust something and save the file again as a midi then it is no longer XF Midi but a normal
midi file.
Is there a possibility to save (export) the midi like the XF format.
Otherwise, my Yamaha keyboard doesn't see the Chords anymore.

I hope someone has a solution for this.

I am interest in the Export of midi file from Musescore. I would like to have the Chord data and Lyrics to be included. I have search the web (not extensively but get some useful information out if it) and I was able to create a small portion of the score with with the XF format by Yamaha.

Here are some information and parameters I am using because this is what I am interested in. I have a Yamaha YPG-235 which uses the XF format midi files for the Performance Assistant Technology feature. The P.A.T. feature allows a student to learn a piece of music by waiting for the student to press the key(s) displayed on the keyboard screen using right hand (or left hand or both hand). ( I don't know how the PSR... type of instruments are used by the musician because I also see a lot of them wants the same feature.) In Yamaha's manual, it tells me that if I have a midi with the P.A.T. formatted (XF) loaded into my instrument, then I can do the above described function for learning a piece of music. It has only two requirement. It must have Midi Format 0 file and contains the P.A.T. Chord Symbols. See attached file. I talked to Yamaha support and they said it is their trade secret and will not give me any information about the part of Chord Symbol; so it is represented as downward arrows. The actually technical information was in a file called 'XF Format Specifications' from the Yamaha Corp. It is probably used by programmers. Well, after searching the web I come across the XF Tool product and PSRuti Midi file create product. The XF Tool is an old window98 program which will not install on my Windows 10 system. I tried the PSRuti and there I got some success. I loaded my exported midi file from Musescore and found from the PSRuti program under 'MIDI file Date" that this is a Midi Format 1/XG file with no Chord data. I added some chords in PSRuti and now it showed there is chord data. After I save the midi and reload it became Midi Format 1/XG. I took this newly created midi and loaded to the YPG-235 now I am able to play the song with the P.A.T. feature.

The down side is there are only limited chord names you can enter. I typed in Fmaj7, F2, it will not take. When I load in the midi created by Musescore, a lot of information was dropped because PSRuti is not a score creator.

So here is my question. 1) Is there a way for Musescore to export the Midi file using Midi Format 0 structure? 2) without seeing the Chord loaded into PSRuti, I venture to say the Chord data probably is not included in the exported Midi file. If we can get this two things working, I think at least for those of us that like the P.A.T. function may learn to play faster. If the usage for those PSR and other model can use that, so much better.
