rests

As you write the music, the rests will disappear.

Think of the rests as place holders for notes or silence.

For example, to enter a quarter note in a 4/4 measure :Click on the Whole rest of the measure you want, It becomes Blue, if you click 5 (the number FIVE) the whole rest becomes 2 quarter rests and an half rest, instead 5 (for a quarter note) if you click 6 (for an half note) the whole rest becomes 2 half rests (for 2 half notes.

After you choose where you want to put your note : if you want a quarter note at the first time of the measure, click 5 (for a quarter note) select the first quarter rest (in my first example) Click N (for entering in writing menu) a blue quarter note appears, you move it with the mouse where you want.

If you want on the second time , make idem with the 2nd quarter rest.

If the first note you want to enter is on the last time of the measure you do my 2nd example, for having 2 half rests, next, with the 2nd 1/2 rest you click on it, click 5, it becomes 2 quater rests, , you click 5, (for quater note), click on the last quarter rest, press N and put you quater note where you want.

See the BOOK for the lengh of notes (4 for eight note, 5 for quater, 6 for an half, 7 for a whole etc....

If you want enter an eight note do idem with 4 .If you want an eight at the very end of a new measure, you must transform the first whole rest in 2 half rests, next, the 2nd half rest in 2 quater rests, and next the last quater rest in 2 eight rests, and you choose the last eight rest
