I set up a new score in 11/4 in version 1.2 and it was fine.

after you've created your new score or press T and specify the internal grouping of the bar, say 3+3+3+2/4. More useful in mainly crochet based melodies than with, say, lots of quavers, or a piece in 11/8 where the beams will make the grouping clearer.

he is referring to pressing T then in the resulting popup window set 3 3 3 2 in each of the little scroll boxes over 4. Then you can drag this to your score and it will replace whatever you have already set.
