I can't seem to connect my MIDI keyboard
Hello,
I just bought a MIDI keyboard, a Samson Graphite M32 with USB connection. I wanted to use it, among other things, for Musescore, which I'm not used to using at all, so this might just be an obvious question.
I can't connect my MIDI keyboard. I go to preferences, I/O.... and I can't open the drop down menu for the MIDI input.
Maybe this is because of the API? I've tried selecting every one I can see in turn, but none of them allow me to select the MIDI input. The ones visible are MME, Windows DirectSound, ASIO, Directsound.
I've tried all options for every one of those, even the very unlikely seeming ones, and still nothing appears for the MIDI input. I don't know if something is wrong with my sound setup or just with the keyboard or if there is an easy solution I am overlooking...
(sorry about the Dutch but I assume the options are recognisable)

Midi cable need to be connected input to output, output to input.;
Connect the keyboard and turn it on *before* starting MuseScore.

it is an USB keyboard, so there are really no other cables to connect I think?
also it does light up and my laptop recognizes the device, so I assume it is on. I'll look at those links though, thank you
