Interesting. I can reproduce in a new score as well, but only sometimes. Certain combinations of note trigger this, others don't. Not sure what the key is right now.
Not the tie on the second note.
I took a long time to find a combination that would cause this in a new score rather than measure 200 of a score. It is rather intermittent.
Looks to me like duplicate of #97106: Crash when undo after save in a score with parts and courtesy key sig.
Do we know this for a fact? What leads you to that conclusion?
Um, identical symptoms? This one doesn't also have the "result 2" after save/undo, but the slur disappears in the same way following the same trigger.
Version 2.0.3 and current 2.1 dev. f30d2ad / Windows7

- Second file , same steps: 2) quarter note slur gone.mscz
Result: the slur is gone

For this issue, I observe a change on March 18, 2015
- This nightly works: 1f260b5
- Not this one: 40e60ff
For fix: #45626: after making large adjustment to slur, it becomes extremely difficult to select
A related issue: #105311: Symbols disappear if moved a few spaces?
Fixed in branch 2.1, commit cf699bffcd
fix #177586: Slurs disappear, in the most cases, after editing and Escape if the bordering note values are different
In master, it already works.
This happens to me quite often, always with the left end adjuster. Adjusting by any of the other handles has never made a slur disappear.
After several failed attempts on my part, I figured out how to reproduce it so I could post it here. Looks like cadiz1 was able to figure out the underlying problem and fix it.
To figure out, indeed ; to locate the behavior change, also, but for the fix, it's not me at all!
