Hi everyone

I would like to know how may I transfert a pdf music chart into musecore. My pdf chart is a transcription taking from the official author. The notation is produce by sibelius 7 and has been convert into pdf. I want to change the key from G key into F key. Because I want to play it on bass guitar and its a baryton sax. I try the import option and its doesn't work. I read that if the pdf is not a print sheet it will work ? Is there any way to transfert it without paid some software or manually addig the note on musescore ?

Thank you

thank you I tried to import my pdf but its doesn't work. I will try to print it and scan. Did you know if there is software that allow me to take a pdf and tranfers it on music notation software for free ?

PDF is not a very good choice for this - far too much information has been lost. If you are trying to transfer a program from Sibelius to MuseScore, it is much better to use MusicXML rather than PDF. If all you have is the PDF, you can try the various programs out there that attempt to turn this back into a usable music notation file, but as mentioned, don't get your hopes up.

I too have just tried this. My downloaded pdf would not work; but printed and scanned it did. There are a number of errors. I shall now find whether it's quicker to amend the errors or if I'd have better typed it all in!

Music-to-XML is a new gadget developed by Musitek, the folks who publish SmartScore. It converts PDF files of musical scores to the MusicXML file format capable of being imported into Musescore. It's sort of a lite version of SmartScore X2 Pro. But instead of costing $400, it costs $99. Here's their web page:
