As a newbie this just occured to me.

1) If you use MuseScore to compose original music do you giveup rights to MuseScore or others?

2) Must you post your composition on Wikifona ?

thanks.

1) MuseScore is a free tool to create scores with. The way you wish to publish your scores and under which license is completely up to the choice of the creator. So there is no relationship between the tool and the scores you create.

2) Not at all. Same answer as in point 1, you are free in any way. MuseScore is a free/libre & open source project and its users have complete freedom over their own work.

It doesn't matter if it's a free tool or not. If you write a novel using MS Word, does MS own your work? Or if you write it out longhand using a $0.19 Bic ballpoint, does Bic own your work?

But, glad to see the question, as stranger things have happened in technology IP disputes.
