Screen jump on note entry
Hello,
I want to keep previous bars in view whist entering new notes but when I enter a new note the screen moves so that the bars are no longer in view.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
(using "continuous view" I can only keep the previous few bars in view)
[I did a screen recording in quicktime but I can't upload an MOV file.]
Many thanks,
I love Musescore but this little glitch really drives me crazy.

The answer indeed is "continuous view". The left arrow cursor key might also help.

Thanks but working at 100% size I can only view about 3 previous bars in Continuous View.
I have attached a short gif showing what I am trying to do i.e. I would like the screen to stay as I have positioned it whilst I enter notes.
Thanks

Maybe is also helps to set system breaks every x measures, so at least the jumps come as a surprise or even change while changing pitch, due to accidentals

Thanks Jojo,
I will try and work with system breaks to see if it helps.

You will need to change the zoom in continuous view to a compromise between comfortable note sizes and number of measures you want to continue to see.
Part of the jump in your video is because the cursor on the linked staves is also on the tab staff. When you enter it on the treble staff MS moves to make the fret visible.I wrote the previous note and looked again, but it seems your staves are not linked since there are no frets on the last line visible, except the first note. I'm guessing you put the fret number there to make the line visible because you have hide empty staves checked. I don't understand why you don't have linked staves, but of course you may enter scores as you like.

Thanks Mike,
Yes I copy and paste the notes into the tab stave afterwards. Maybe a partial solution will be to add the tab stave after i've finished entering the notes.
Cheers,

If you want to back up the side scroll then press shift while you move the mouse wheel. I do this more than I want to.
